The Big Reveal... (a la Trading Spaces) Well, I need to follow up on my previous post about halloween. It's been over 2 weeks since my favorite holiday, and I have a confession to make:I didn't dress up. Halloween this year was just a blur in between my parents-in-law visiting, the search for a new apartment, and the search for a new job. Also, somewhere in there I had an anniversary to celebrate, and some other stuff happening. Monika's parents did come to visit, they were here on Halloween... and Zombie Dick Cheney, alas, was not. In fact, while he may be staying in Washington for another 4 years, he was nowhere near our apartment on Halloween night. Even our anniversary was swept away in the midst of "life" happening all around us. That kinda stunk, to be honest. We just didn't have a chance to get away or do anything, and I was a big slug in terms of planning things... However, I do have an excuse: I was starting a new job. Yep. Found one! I'm doing it right now. Or actually I'm here right now - what I'm actually doing is blogging. Duh! I found a job (!!), and I'm working as a project manager, helping a vacation travel company put together a new application for some of their departments. It's actually great fun, highly challenging (and stressful), and I have a huge fear that at some point they're going to find out that I have no idea what the hell I'm doing, and they're not going to want me back for the 2nd part of this project. And if they don't want me back, I ain't got no job. But I do right now, and it's really pushing me to the max, which is great - I've been going 100 miles an hour since October 20th or so, when I started prepping for the job. Whew! guess I shouldn't be writing all this while I'm at work, but whatchoo gonna do? So, to recap: we had a halloween and anniversary deficit this year Found a new job Found a new apartment (just finished moving down the hall in the same building on saturday) Monika's parents came and went (they are now living in India) And ... um...
